NEXT ROSEBURG SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TO BE LIVE-STREAMED

March 12, 2021 10:00 a.m.

The next Roseburg School Board meeting will be live-streamed with public comments taken in advance.

A release said that is due to Douglas County’s current Extreme Risk status and Oregon Health Authority COVID-19 guidelines that limit gatherings. Public access will be limited to the board members and staff only. The meeting can be viewed on YouTube: https://youtu.be/siaOg_e5HPw.

Superintendent Jared Cordon said with schools being open, the board feels it is important to continue to meeting in person but “…to help protect the health and safety of our community and to follow OHA recommendations, we are unfortunately not able to invite members of the public to attend the meeting”.

The release said members of the public are invited to submit comments in advance to be shared with the school board to Board Secretary Janet Kischel at: jkischel@roseburg.k12.or.us. Comments should be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday to ensure there is time to prepare them for the board.

The meeting will be held Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m.
