A Roseburg man was taken to the hospital, after falling off the roof of the Roseburg Marketplace, on Wednesday night.
A report from Roseburg Police said the incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. near Joann’s Fabrics. The 27-year old landed on a light fixture and broke it off the building, falling the rest of the way to the ground where he landed on an ice machine. He sustained multiple broken ribs and other injuries. The man was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center before being transferred to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield. He is listed in serious condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson.
The man was cited for second degree counts of criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
