A former Roseburg area man has been jailed in connection with a Nevada murder.
A release from the Nevada Department of Public Safety said it is investigating the suspected homicide of an adult male that occurred at a senior housing community in Laughlin, on Fort Mojave Indian Tribal Land, on March 2nd. .
The release said tribal officers initially responded to a report of an altercation and discovered the victim deceased inside a residence. Tribal officers subsequently located and detained a male suspect, 20-year old Ethan Bright. Tribal, local and federal law enforcement partners assisted in the investigation.
Bright has been charged with open murder with enhanced deadly weapon. Bright is being held without bail.
His Facebook profile showed that he attended Douglas High School, but presently lives in Eugene.
Public Information Officer Kim Yoko Smith of the NDPS told News Radio 1240 KQEN that there are no updates in the case.
The News Review is reporting that Bright faces a court hearing on March 18th.
