Sign-ups are now available for the drive through mass vaccination event for seniors, happening on Saturday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
A release from the Douglas Public Health Network said it will be open to seniors ages 65 and older, only by appointment. Douglas County government and DPHN are working with local health care partners and volunteers to organize the event.
County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said 200 doses of the Johnson & Johnson one shot vaccine and 500 doses of the two shot Pfizer vaccine will be administered.
Residents can sign-up by going to: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/covid-19-vaccination-event-for-seniors-65-tickets-145391083645. The online process should take less than five minutes. Those without computer access can call 671-3646 and leave a voicemail message. Volunteers will call people back and get them signed up.
