WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR PARTS OF DOUGLAS COUNTY

March 9, 2021 4:10 a.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7:00 a.m. Tuesday for parts of central Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said snow levels are falling to between 1,500 and 2,000 feet in the southwestern part of Douglas County, along with Josephine and Curry counties.

Showers and thunderstorms along and near the coast are expected to continue to push inland. Some light snow is expected along Highway 42 at Camas Mountain, at Canyon Mountain, and on the Sexton Summit along Interstate Five.

Forecasters said snow covered and slushy roads along with reduced visibility could cause difficult travel.
