A teen was hurt and one man was arrested following a head on wreck on Thursday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the pickups collided at 3:00 p.m. in the 2000 block of Old Highway 99 South, south of the Roseburg city limits. A 17-year old told deputies he was driving northbound when the other vehicle, which was headed southbound, drove into his lane, causing the accident.

The second driver said a vehicle in front of him slammed on its breaks, causing him to slam on his brakes, which resulted in him swerving into oncoming traffic. The report said four other people told deputies the second vehicle was being driven recklessly before the wreck.

The teen was treated and released at CHI Mercy Medical Center.

The other driver, 33-year old Michael James, was charged with reckless driving, following too close, fail to maintain a lane and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
