A Riddle man was jailed on sex abuse charges, following an investigation by detectives with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Sergeant Brad O’Dell said in August of 2020, deputies took a report of sexual abuse. An investigation began and 40-year old Joseph Harp was taken into custody on Thursday.

Harp is booked on 1 count each of first-degree sex abuse and rape, along with a count of incest. After arraignment, bail was set at $50,000.

He was also cited for a methamphetamine violation after under two grams of meth along with scales were allegedly found in his possession.
