20 more people have received new positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County, and there is 1 new presumptive case, as of Friday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 2,581. Of those, 2,455 are people that have received new positive test results and 126 are presumptive. There have been 55 deaths. 14 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 10 locally and 4 outside the area. 185 people are in isolation. 580 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 765 people that are either in isolation or quarantine. That is a decrease of 112 since Thursday.

The update said this week DPHN received 1,500 doses of Moderna vaccine, 2,340 doses of Phizer vaccine and 1,200 doses of the new single Johnson and Johnson vaccine. That’s a total of 5,040 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

County Public Health Director Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said that will likely be the county’s “high water” mark for quite a while. Dannenhoffer said all of the recent shipments of vaccines have been deployed to local approved vaccinators throughout the county.
