A Roseburg man was jailed after an alleged trespass incident on Tuesday.
Information from Roseburg Police said at about 3:30 p.m. officers contacted 37-year old Mars Ulra at Dollar Tree on Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard after he was called in for previously trespassing. The report said officers caught him in the act of stealing items from the business. Ulra was told he was under arrest and then took off running.
The report said the suspect continued to run across the street and into traffic where he almost caused several accidents. He was eventually tased by two officers before he was incapacitated from the taser probes. Ulra eventually fell to the ground and was taken into custody after a short struggle. He was moved out of the roadway and provided with medical attention.
No officers were hurt in the incident.
Charges included interfering with a police officer, first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree disorderly conduct, and third degree counts of theft and escape. Bail was set at $16,250.
