Aviva Health and the Douglas Education Service District partnered to offer another invitation-only mass vaccination event on Saturday.
An Aviva release said the health organization provided 710 second-dose COVID-19 vaccines to individuals who fall within the Oregon Health Authority’s Phase 1a vaccination prioritization schedule. The same individuals received their first dose at a similar event on January 23rd.
Saturday’s event comes on the heel of a Thursday mass vaccination event when close to 80 Douglas County seniors received their first dose of the vaccine.
More than 120 Aviva Health and Douglas ESD staff along with several community members helped make the fifth mass vaccine clinic event a success. Use of the Douglas County Fairgrounds was made possible by the Douglas County Board of Commissioners.
Aviva has put nearly 2,900 vaccinations in the arms of citizens in Douglas County.
Aviva Health and Douglas ESD are planning to offer additional opportunities for community members to receive COVID-19 vaccines. The latest eligibility list published by the Oregon Health Authority is posted: https://covidvaccine.oregon.gov/
