There is a new case of COVID-19 at Hucrest Elementary School in Roseburg.
Superintendent Jared Cordon of Roseburg Public Schools said the district received confirmation Thursday from the Douglas Public Health Network that an individual at the school has tested positive for COVID-19. The district did not indicate whether that person was a student or a staff member.
Cordon said people who need to quarantine have been contacted and are at home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms.
Students who are in quarantine will transition temporarily to remote learning. School staff will provide families with technology devices.
