The Douglas County Parks Department is seeking seasonal camp hosts for several of its campground facilities.
A release said the camp host positions are limited duration positions that vary by location and come with many perks. Park hosts are needed at:
*Whistler’s Bend near Roseburg
*Chief Miwaleta near Azalea
*Stanton Park in Canyonville
*Umpqua Dunes in Winchester Bay
*Windy Cove in Winchester Bay
While the dates vary by campground location, hosts are generally needed between May 15th and October 30th. Camp hosts help as a park ambassador, assist park patrons, check-in guests, clean restroom facilities, pick-up litter, perform light outdoor maintenance, and restock supplies.
The release said perks of being a park host include:
*A campsite in a beautiful setting
*A free full hook-up campsite
*Paid utilities and garbage
*Laundry facilities
*Orientation and training
*Volunteer uniform
*Opportunity to meet new people from around the country
*A chance to learn new skills and be challenged
*An opportunity to attend appreciation events and receive recognition items
