The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman for menacing and unlawful use of a weapon early Wednesday.

A DCSO report said at about 3:00 a.m. someone called dispatch to say that a woman had tired to stab him after assaulting him in the 100 block of Lower Court Lane in Canyonville. The caller claimed that the suspect eventually threw the knife at him.

A deputy contacted the victim who said the woman had chased him down a hallway with a knife and then threw it at him as she went into a bedroom.

After being interviewed, 31-year old April O’Connor was taken into custody. After arraignment, bail was set at $10,000.
