A 27-year old man was jailed after allegedly entering multiple vehicles on private property early Thursday morning.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 4:50 a.m. a caller told dispatch that a pickup was driving around slowly acting suspicious in the 1900 block of Woods Creek Road in south Douglas County. At about 6:30 a.m. the vehicle was called in again, as it was stuck in the ditch in the same area.

A deputy responded and located evidence the someone had entered a vehicle without being authorized to do so. Jesse Dewbre reportedly admitted to the crime and was taken into custody. The report said the suspect ended up being linked to entering several vehicles on Huffman and Wright property.

Dewbre was charged with five counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, and second degree counts of theft and trespass. He was released on Friday.
