The driver was hurt when a vehicle struck a tree Sunday afternoon.

A report from Oregon State Police said just before 5:30 p.m. a vehicle driven by a 19-year old Sutherlin woman was eastbound on Highway 38 near Scottsburg when for unknown reasons it left the roadway. The report said the sports car traveled down a hillside before it hit the tree. It continued and eventually ended up near a log.

The woman was transported to a hospital. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
