16 NEW POSITIVE TEST RESULTS FOR COVID-19 IN COUNTY, AS OF MONDAY

16 more people have received new positive test results for COVID-19 in Douglas County, as of Monday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 2,179. Of those, 2,071 are people that have received positive test results and 108 are presumptive. There have been 51 deaths. 16 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 12 locally and 4 outside the area. 228 people are in isolation. 634 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 862 people that are in either isolation or quarantine.

The next eligible group of seniors, those 75 years-of-age and older, can now make an appointment to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Eligible seniors are asked to contact their health care provider, local pharmacy or a local health care facility that is on the local vaccinators list. Vaccines are only administered with a scheduled appointment.

The next drive through testing clinic with DPHN will be Friday in Roseburg.
