A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for mountain areas of much of southern Oregon from 10:00 p.m. Friday through 10:00 a.m. Saturday, above 4,500 feet.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 4 to 10 inches of snow is expected in the southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains, with 2 to 5 inches for areas east of the southern Oregon Cascades. Winds will gust as high as 35 miles per hour.
The Advisory area also includes Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, and some locations to the east of the Cascades. It also includes portions of highways 62, 230, 138, 140, 66 and some roads in south central and southeastern Oregon.
Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions and snow-covered roads. The Siskiyou Summit is not included in this advisory but will see up to 2 inches of snow during this time period.
