COVID-19 has claimed 12 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,056, as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 621 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 149,082. The new cases include:
*77 in Multnomah County
*58 in Washington County
*57 in Lane County
*46 in Douglas County
*43 in Jackson County
*35 each in Benton and Clackamas counties
*27 in Umatilla County
*26 in Deschutes County
*24 in Yamhill County
*23 in Linn County
*17 each in Coos and Polk counties
*16 in Jefferson County
*14 in Josephine County
*11 each in Columbia and Crook counties
*10 in Lake County
*6 in Morrow County
*5 each in Harney and Union counties
*4 each in Curry, Wallowa and Wasco counties
*2 each in Lincoln and Tillamook counties
*1 each in Clatsop, Grant and Hood River counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 58 to 96. 4 lived in Multnomah County. 2 lived in Washington County. 1 each lived in Clackamas, Jackson, Deschutes, Josephine, Marion, and Jefferson counties.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 209, which is fewer than on Wednesday. There are 50 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is three fewer than on Wednesday.
OHA reported 19,695 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 14,004 doses were administered on Wednesday. 5,619 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 623,909 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 884,175 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
