FIVE VEHICLE CRASH CLOGS AFTERNOON COMMUTE

A five vehicle crash clogged traffic during Tuesday’s afternoon commute in Roseburg.

A report from the Roseburg Police said at 5:15 p.m. officers contacted the drivers who were all involved in the collision in the 1,200 block of Northeast Stephens. An investigation revealed that all the vehicles were unable to come to a stop before they struck the back of the vehicle in front of them

The driver who caused the start of the crashes, a 19-year old Roseburg man, was cited for following too closely, driving while suspended and driving uninsured. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
