COVID-19 CLAIMS 1 MORE LIVE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,024, AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,024, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 305 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 147,419. The daily case count is the lowest since October 19th of last year when OHA reported 266 confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19. The new cases include:

*66 in Multnomah County

*51 in Washington County

*30 in Lane County

*27 each in Clackamas and Marion counties

*17 in Yamhill County

*15 in Coos County

*11 in Douglas County

*8 in Jackson County

*7 in Polk County

*5 each in Benton, Deschutes, Linn, and Umatilla counties

*3 in Columbia County

*2 each in Baker, Lincoln, Tillamook and Wasco counties

*1 each in Crook, Curry, Jefferson, Union and Wallowa counties

Oregon’s 2,024th COVID-19 death is a 67-year old woman in Lane County who tested positive on January 11tth and died on February 4th.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 221, which is 9 fewer than on Sunday. There are 55 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 18,225 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 10,515 doses were administered on February 7th. 7,740 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 572,400 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 734,970 doses of vaccines have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
