COVID-19 has claimed 17 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,019, as of Saturday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 624 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 146,741. The new cases include:
*93 in Multnomah County
*62 in Lane County
*56 in Marion County
*55 in Washington County
*51 in Clackamas County
*40 in Jackson County
*30 in Umatilla County
*28 in Deschutes County
*27 in Josephine County
*24 in Benton County
*23 in Polk County
*18 each in Douglas and Linn counties
*17 in Yamhill County
*12 in Coos County
*11 in Klamath County
*9 in Lake County
*8 in Jefferson County
*6 in Union County
*5 each in Clatsop, Crook, Lincoln, and Wasco counties
*4 in Malheur County
*3 each in Columbia, Curry and Wallowa counties
*2 in Baker County
*1 in Harney County
The new deaths ranged in age from 63 to 97.
2 each lived in Josephine and Washington counties. 1 each lived in Douglas, Yamhill, Crook, Polk, Multnomah, Curry, Lane, Morrow, and Wallowa counties.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 228, which is 10 fewer than on Friday. There are 52 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 7 fewer than on Friday.
OHA reported that 22,871 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 18,895 doses were administered on Friday. 3,796 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.
Oregon has now administered a total of 532,451 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 734,950 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
