Saturday February 6th has been set aside as a special waterfowl hunt day for veterans and active members of the military.

A release from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife said while duck hunting ended last weekend, veterans and active military may take ducks, coots and geese at the established bag limits.

All ODFW wildlife areas are open for this hunt except those with seasonal closures. Other public lands normally open to waterfowl should also be open, but ODFW recommends checking with the land manager in advance to confirm.
