Staff with the Douglas Education Service District partnered with Aviva Health and administered more than 129 COVID-19 vaccines on Wednesday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

This mass vaccine event was the second invitation-only opportunity for early learning staff and K-12 staff who fall within the Oregon Health Authority’s Phase 1b vaccine prioritization.

Aviva Health provided an online preregistration link for qualified individuals to receive the Moderna vaccine on a first come, first served basis.

Working along with the Douglas Public Health Network, the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team and Umpqua Health Alliance, along with ESD and Aviva, a total of 58 staff members and volunteered to make the event happen.
