The Roseburg School District has received confirmation that 2 students at Winchester Elementary School have tested positive for COVID-19.

Superintendent Jared Cordon said the district is working closely with the Douglas Public Health Network to respond to the news and protect the health of the school community.

Cordon said the students who tested positive and the individuals who may have been exposed have been contacted and are at home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms. Cordon said the students who tested positive are in different classrooms.

Students who are in quarantine will transition temporarily to remote learning. Staff will provide technology devices to families. About 36 people are now in quarantine due to the positive tests.
