COVID-19 CLAIMS 7, MORE LIVE, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,998, AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 7 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,998, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 730 new confirmed and presumptive cases, bringing the state total to 145,320. The new cases include:

*141 in Multnomah County

*85 in Washington County

*75 in Marion County

*67 in Lane County

*55 in Umatilla County

*48 in Clackamas County

*47 in Jackson County

*32 in Benton County

*23 in Douglas County

*19 in Josephine County

*17 each in Deschutes and Yamhill counties

*16 in Coos County

*14 in Linn County

*13 in Jefferson County

*7 each in Klamath, Lake and Polk counties

*6 each in Columbia, Lincoln and Union counties

*5 in Wallowa County

*4 each in Harney and Wallowa counties

*3 in Baker County

*2 each in Hood River and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Curry and Malheur counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 66 to 99. 2 lived in Marion County. 1 each lived in Baker, Deschutes Jackson, Wasco and Coos counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 261, which is 5 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 58 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 5 fewer than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 15,173 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 11,519 were administered on Wednesday. 3,654 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 486,861 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 706,575 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
