Over 750 educators received the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at a mass vaccination event on Saturday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

Information from the Douglas Education Service District said those vaccinated were early learning and K-12 staff who fell within the Oregon Health Authority’s Phase 1b vaccine prioritization schedule. Aviva Health had obtained the vaccine supply from the Douglas Public Health Network.

Over 140 people from various community organizations helped with the logistics for the event.

Another vaccination event for teachers is being planned soon. More information will be available once all the details are worked out.
