A Roseburg man has been jailed and charged with first degree counts of rape and sodomy.

A report from Roseburg Police said 23-year old Jacob Winters was arrested Sunday morning at about 2:45 a.m. after officers and detectives from RPD investigated an alleged sexual assault incident. The report said the man allegedly assaulted an adult female that was known to him. The incident was interrupted by two other people.

Winters was jailed on $750,000 bail.
