Through the end of March, the City of Roseburg Fire Department is conducting training exercises at a former residential structure near the corner of West Harvard and Harrison.

A release said the training consists of multiple scenarios focusing on rapid fire attack techniques, victim search and rescue techniques, as well as firefighter safety and survival. During the training, no live fire will be utilized. Theatrical smoke and lighting will be used to simulate visibility challenges while working in smoke filled environments.

The release said the RFD would like to thank Cascade Community Credit Union for providing the opportunity to use the building.
