A Myrtle Creek man was jailed for an alleged burglary and theft by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.

The DCSO report said on January 20th a deputy took a report regarding a burglary in the 800 block of Old Pacific Highway. The victim claimed a washer and dryer combination had been taken along with miscellaneous tools. The victim gave the deputy the name of the man she thought could be involved.

Thursday night at about 10:40 p.m. the suspect was contacted at his trailer and the victim’s property was returned to her.

51-year old Willard Rose was charged with first degree counts of burglary and theft. Rose was detained on $300,000 bail.
