A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 4:00 p.m. Wednesday for parts of central Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches. Winds are expected as high as 40 miles per hour.
The Advisory area includes Azalea, Glendale and Tiller, and portions of Interstate Five including the Smith, Stage, and Canyon Mountain passes. Also included is Camas Mountain on Highway 42 and a portion of 227 near Tiller.
Forecasters said travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact commuters.
Snow in western Douglas County will impact elevations above 1,500 feet. Snow in eastern Douglas County will impact areas mainly above 3,000 feet.
