COVID-19 has claimed 22 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,904, as of Tuesday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 796 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 139,355. The new cases include:
*195 in Multnomah County
*100 in Clackamas County
*70 in Deschutes County
*61 in Marion County
*50 in Lane County
*49 in Jackson County
*37 in Washington County
*31 in Yamhill County
*21 in Benton County
*20 in Douglas County
*19 in Klamath County
*18 in Umatilla County
*16 in Malheur County
*14 in Josephine County
*12 in Linn County
*11 each in Clatsop and Polk counties
*9 in Harney County
*8 each in Columbia, Crook and Hood River counties
*6 each in Lincoln and Union counties
*3 in Lake County
*2 each in Coos, Curry, Tillamook and Wasco counties
*1 each in Baker, Jefferson, Morrow and Wallowa counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 27 to 96.
OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 308, which is 2 fewer than on Monday. There are 70 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 5 fewer than on Monday.
OHA reported that 17,422 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 10,178 doses were administered on Monday. 7,244 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Monday.
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 325,473 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, a total of 589,200 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
