A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for parts of central Douglas County until 10:00 p.m. Sunday, for areas above 1,500 feet.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said total snow accumulations of 1 to 5 inches are expected.

The Advisory includes Tiller, areas south of Canyonville including Azalea and Interstate Five near Canyon Mountain Pass and Stage Road Pass, and areas above 1,500 feet in central Douglas County.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult with slick and snow-covered roadways.

Periods of light snow or a rain-snow mix are possible down to the valley floor at times Sunday morning and again on Sunday night.
