COVID-19 CLAIMS 13 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,877, AS OF SATURDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 13 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,877, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 775 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 137,600. The new cases include:

*112 in Multnomah County

*106 in Washington County

*94 in Marion County

*75 in Lane County

*51 in Clackamas County

*49 in Jackson County

*43 in Deschutes County

*35 in Umatilla County

*25 each in Benton and Yamhill counties

*19 in Klamath County

*15 in Linn County

*12 each in Coos and Wasco counties

*10 in Douglas County

*9 in Malheur County

*8 in Lincoln County

*7 each in Columbia, Crook, Jefferson and Josephine counties

*6 in Union County

*4 in Lake County

*2 each in Baker, and Hood River counties

*1 each in Gilliam, Harney, Morrow, and Tillamook counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 53 to 87. 3 lived in Multnomah County. 2 each lived in Crook, and Malheur counties. 1 each lived in Douglas, Marion, Jackson, Washington, Yamhill and Umatilla counties.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 310, which is 7 fewer than on Friday. There are 83 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 more than on Friday.

OHA reported that 15,461 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 11,151 vaccine doses were administered on Friday and 4,310 were administered on previous days, but entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative 285,914 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 492,450 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
