MAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENTS IN TILLER

A 25-year old man was jailed following alleged assault incidents in the Tiller area on Sunday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said reports came in that a suspect was breaking into shops and abandoned residences around the 20,000 block of Tiller Trail Highway. At around 4:20 p.m. callers to dispatch said the man had attacked a man and a woman on a tractor, had stolen mail and had torn down a fence.

The report said a deputy found the suspect laying down in front of a residence, where he held him at taser point. The man allegedly resisted arrest, but was eventually taken into custody.

A victim said he was bleeding from the head after being hit with a rock that the suspect had thrown.

Raymond Hickey was charged with second degree assault, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest, mail theft, criminal mischief and more. Bail was set at $382,500.
