A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged assault on Wednesday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said about 10:15 p.m. deputies responded to a residence in the 3,000 block of Hooker Road after a reported assault involving a knife.
The report said a victim indicated that 32-year old Scott Spurgeon-Hernandez had attacked him and but him in the arm with the knife. The victim said he punched the man after being cut and then left the house. The report said the victim had a cut on his arm, supporting his story but declined medical treatment.
Units searched the house but could not find the suspect. Spurgeon-Hernandez was located Thursday morning at 10:15 a.m. at an address on Meadow. The man reportedly resisted arrest but ultimately was taken into custody. Charges included second degree assault, menacing, resisting arrest and for a parole violation. Spurgeon-Hernandez was detained without bail.
