COVID-19 CLAIMS 29 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,737 AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 29 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,737, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,152 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 130,246. The new cases include:

*185 in Multnomah County

*162 in Washington County

*137 in Marion County

*94 in Lane County

*82 in Deschutes County

*75 in Jackson County

*70 in Clackamas County

*60 in Umatilla County

*30 in Yamhill County

*23 each in Benton and Linn counties

*19 in Union County

*18 in Josephine County

*17 in Klamath County

*16 in Douglas County

*15 in Columbia County

*14 each in Malheur and Wasco counties

*13 in Polk County

*12 each in Crook and Jefferson counties

*11 each in Clatsop and Coos counties

*9 each in Hood River and Morrow counties

*7 in Baker County

*6 in Harney County

*3 in Lake County

*2 each in Lincoln and Wheeler counties

*1 in Curry County

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 415, which is 19 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 101 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 2 fewer than on Wednesday.

On Thursday, OHA reported that 16,355 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 10,172 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday. 6,183 were administered on previous days, but were added into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.

Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 146,137 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
