Roseburg Police jailed a man Tuesday following two separate incidents in around five hours.

A report said at about 4:15 p.m. 37-year old Andrew Atterbury allegedly bit a security guard at CHI Mercy Medical Center.

Just before 9:30 p.m. officers responded to a report that a man was trespassing inside a business in the 2400 block of West Harvard. A security guard claimed the man had tried to use fraudulent money in the past. When officers arrived, Atterbury reportedly ran from and resisted officers, going into the roadway where vehicles had to brake or swerve to avoid him.

Charges included second degree assault, resisting arrest, interfering with a peace officer, recklessly endangering another person and for second degree criminal trespass. Bail was set at $273,500.
