A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 10:00 p.m. Thursday evening through 10:00 a.m. Friday morning for the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains, including Crater Lake.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 5 to 8 inches of snow is expected with winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour.

This includes highways 138 and 230 near Diamond Lake, and highways 62 and 140.

Forecasters said drivers should plan on slippery road conditions and allow extra time to reach their destination.
