There is now a vacancy on the Winston City Council.

City Manager Mark Bauer said the Ward 2 seat is now open after Scott Rutter vacated the seat due to his successful run for Mayor of Winston.

To be qualified, applicants must have resided within the boundaries of Ward 2 for the past 12 months. That includes everyone east of Main Street and people west of Main that are between Lookingglass Road and the “Green” bridge. Those applying should include a resume with their application, which can be picked up at City Hall or accessed at www.winstoncity.org

Those interested must apply by 5:00 p.m. on January 15th. Call the City of Winston offices at 679-6739 for more information.
