COVID-19 CLAIMS 6 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,506 AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,506, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 728 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 118,456. The new cases include:

*141 in Washington County

*92 in Multnomah County

*79 in Marion County

*67 in Clackamas County

*62 in Lane County

*45 in Deschutes County

*40 in Jackson County

*31 in Klamath County

*24 in Umatilla County

*22 in Yamhill County

*20 in Coos County

*16 each in Josephine and Polk counties

*14 in Douglas County

*10 each in Baker, Columbia and Linn counties

*6 in Jefferson County

*4 each in Lincoln, Morrow and Union counties

*2 each in Clatsop, Curry, Harney, Tillamook and Wasco counties

*1 in Lake County

The new deaths ranged in age from 47 to 92. 2 lived in Washington County. 1 each lived in Lane, Linn, Multnomah and Coos counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 477, which is 6 fewer than on Sunday. There are 102 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 7 fewer than on Sunday.

On Monday, OHA recorded 2,550 doses of vaccine administered – including 9 second doses. That raises the state’s total number of doses administered to 51,275. That figure is based on preliminary reports of 1,663 doses administered on Sunday, as well as 887 administered on prior days that had not been recorded. To date, 190,500 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
