COVID-19 CLAIMS 13 MORE LIVES, STATE’S DEATH TOLL AT 1,490 AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 13 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,490, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,446 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 115,339. The new cases include:

*265 in Multnomah County

*220 in Washington County

*205 in Marion County

*108 in Deschutes County

*90 in Clackamas County

*88 in Lane County

*57 in Umatilla County

*50 in Jackson County

*41 in Josephine County

*39 each in Douglas and Linn counties

*38 in Yamhill County

*27 in Clatsop County

*21 in Polk County

*20 in Benton County

*17 in Malheur County

*15 in Jefferson County

*13 in Coos County

*12 in Hood River County

*11 in Wasco County

*10 each in Baker, Lincoln and Morrow counties

*9 in Crook County

*8 in Curry County

*6 in Columbia County

*5 in Tillamook County

*3 each in Harney and Union counties

*2 in Klamath County

*1 in Wallowa County

The new deaths ranged in age from 55 to 99. 3 each lived in Multnomah and Marion counties. 2 lived in Hood River County. 1 each lived in Lane, Washington, Jefferson, Coos and Columbia counties.

OHA reported the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 466, which is 2 fewer than on Thursday. There are 109 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 3 more than on Thursday.

On Friday, OHA recorded 5,717 doses of vaccine, raising the state’s total of first vaccine doses to 44,415. That figure is based on preliminary reports of 3,385 doses administered on Thursday, as well as 2,332 administered on prior days that had not been recorded. To date190,500 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
