Sutherlin Police jailed a woman following an alleged disorderly conduct incident on Tuesday.

Police Chief Troy Mills said at about 12:15 a.m. officers responded to several calls over a short period of time alleging that 39-year old Nadja Ridgley of Winston was being disorderly in the area of the 1300 block of West Central.

Mills said the suspect was reportedly yelling and cursing, and refusing to leave stores in that area. Ridgley was contacted by officers several times and warned about her actions. She was also trespassed from several businesses in the area.

Mills said later that morning Ridgely randomly sprinted up to a parked, occupied police vehicle. While yelling and flailing her arms, she opened the door to the car. The officer immediately got out of the vehicle, and ordered the woman to back away. After failed attempts to get compliance, the suspect was taken into custody.

Charges included second degree escape, interfering with a police officer, disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest. She was released from custody later in the day.
