FIFTH PERSON ARRESTED FOLLOWING PROTEST AT STATE CAPITOL

A fifth person has been arrested following protests at the Oregon State Capitol in Salem on Monday December 21st.

An update from Oregon State Police said on Sunday afternoon at approximately 4:15 p.m. 40-year old Jeremy Roberts turned himself in. Last week, Roberts was identified as the person that attempted to gain access to the building through the west door, and who also attacked two reporters.

Roberts was taken to the Marion County Jail where he was charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, assault, harassment and for a warrant for a probation violation.

The protest took place during the one-day special session of the Oregon State Legislature.
