A Roseburg man was jailed, and a woman was cited, following an alleged assault on Friday night.

A report from Roseburg Police said at about 7:00 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Northeast Stephens. The female reported that she had been assaulted by a 43-year old man. The 35-year old victim reportedly sustained multiple minor injuries which were consistent with her statements.

The report said the man was contacted by officers and also had minor injuries from the altercation.

The man was detained for 4th degree assault while the woman was cited for harassment.
