COVID-19 CLAIMS 6 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,433 AS OF MONDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,433, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 865 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 110,545. The new cases include:

*305 in Washington County

*125 in Clackamas County

*121 in Multnomah County

*80 in Marion County

*69 in Jackson County

*35 in Lane County

*32 in Polk County

*14 in Yamhill County

*12 in Linn County

*11 each in Deschutes and Umatilla counties

*8 in Hood River County

*7 each in Benton and Josephine counties

*5 each in Clatsop, Columbia and Malheur counties

*3 in Wasco County

*2 in Lincoln County

*1 each in Baker, Coos, Curry, Grant, Harney, Jefferson and Union counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 67 to 85. 4 lived in Lane County. 2 lived in Jackson County.

OHA said the there are 515 patients hospitalized for COVID-19 across Oregon, which is 23 more than on Sunday. There are 113 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 8 more than on Sunday.

On Sunday, 840 doses of vaccine were administered, raising the state’s total number of first vaccine doses to 20,298. All vaccinations occurred at Oregon hospitals and long-term care facilities.
