DENSE FOG ADVISORY THROUGH 10:00 A.M. SUNDAY FOR CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTY

December 27, 2020 6:45 a.m.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for central Douglas through 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said visibility is a quarter of a mile or less in dense fog. The Advisory area includes Roseburg, Sutherlin, Green, Myrtle Creek and Canyonville, including the Interstate Five passes in the area.

Forecasters said hazardous driving conditions are expected due to the dense fog.

Fog could turn to freezing fog in some areas leading to light ice accumulation on some surfaces. Residents should use extra caution on roadways and walkways, especially on bridges, overpasses and in low, boggy and marshy areas, as a light ice accumulation is most likely to occur in these areas.
