COVID-19 CLAIMS 5 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,427 AS OF SUNDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,427, as of Sunday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,416 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 109,725. The new cases include:

*362 in Marion County

*280 in Washington County

*127 in Clackamas County

*117 in Multnomah County

*89 in Klamath County

*67 in Jackson County

*60 in Josephine County

*44 in Polk County

*43 in Yamhill County

*34 in Deschutes County

*29 in Umatilla County

*28 in Wasco County

*23 in Lane County

*18 in Coos County

*16 each in Lincoln and Linn counties

*12 in Malheur County

*10 in Douglas County

*8 in Curry County

*6 each in Benton, Clatsop and Columbia counties

*3 each in Hood River, Tillamook and Union counties

*2 each in Jefferson and Morrow counties

1 in Crook County

The new deaths ranged in age from 59 to 98. 2 lived in Jackson County. 1 each lived in Columbia, Deschutes and Marion counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 is 492, which is 20 fewer than on Saturday. There are 105 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 8 fewer than on Saturday.
