COVID-19 CLAIMS 7 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL TO 1,422 AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 7 more lives, raising the state death toll to 1,422, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 908 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 107,718. The new cases include:

*215 in Multnomah County

*123 in Marion County

*84 in Washington County

*82 in Clackamas County

*65 in Jackson County

*57 in Lane County

*42 in Umatilla County

*38 in Linn County

*31 in Deschutes County

*21 each in Jefferson and Yamhill counties

*20 in Benton County

*17 in Polk County

*14 each in Douglas and Hood River counties

*9 each in Columbia, Malheur and Wasco counties

*5 each in Clatsop and Lincoln counties

*4 each in Coos, Crook and Morrow counties

*3 each in Curry and Josephine counties

*2 each in Baker, Lake and Union counties

*1 each in Harney, and Tillamook counties

The news deaths ranged in age from 63 to 88. 3 lived in Marion County. 2 lived in Multnomah County. 1 each lived in Lane and Deschutes counties.

OHA said there are 472 hospitalized COVID-19 patients, 23 fewer than on Thursday. There are 103 COVID-19 positive patients in intensive care unit beds, 2 more than on Thursday.

On Thursday, 1,169 Oregonians received COVID-19 vaccinations, raising the state’s total number of first vaccine doses to 17,130. All vaccinations occurred on Oregon hospitals and long-term care facilities.
