COVID-19 CLAIMS 12 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,415 AS OF THURSDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 12 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 1,415 as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 871 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 106,821. The new cases include:

*188 in Multnomah County

*83 in Marion County

*79 in Washington County

*67 in Lane County

*59 in Clackamas County

*46 in Klamath County

*33 in Linn County

*32 each in Josephine, Deschutes and Umatilla counties

*29 in Jackson County

*27 in Yamhill County

*21 in Malheur County

*16 in Lincoln County

*13 in Polk County

*12 in Hood River

*11 each in Jefferson and Wasco counties

*10 in Coos County

*9 each in Douglas, Benton and Tillamook counties

*8 in Baker County

*7 each in Curry and Union counties

*5 each in Crook and Morrow counties

*4 in Columbia County

*3 in Clatsop County

*2 each in Grant and Harney counties

OHA said the number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Oregon is 495, 2 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 101 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, 8 fewer than on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, 2,794 doses of vaccine were administered, raising the state’s total number of first vaccine doses to 14,524.
