Governor Kate Brown says thanks to the decisions the majority of Oregonians are making, the spread of COVID-19 is slowing.

On Tuesday Brown held a press conference where she was joined by Oregon Health Authority Director Patrick Allen and OHA Public Health Director Rachael Banks.

Brown said, “And while our case counts are still up, we are avoiding many of the worst-case scenarios”. She said that is proof that residents will determine how the next few months play out while officials work to “…swiftly distribute the COVID-19 vaccine far and wide”. She said as residents did with Thanksgiving, she is again asking people to re-think their Christmas and New Year’s plans.
